Boris Johnson MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip was delighted to visit Cowley St Laurence Primary School recently to open their new playground gym.
The fitness equipment, funded by National Lottery Players, will encourage pupils, parents and teachers to become more physically active – promoting better health and well being.
The outdoor fitness centre was made possible thanks to a grant of nearly £10,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund, which is the largest funder of community activity in the UK.
Commenting on the brand new playground Mr Johnson said ‘It was a pleasure to visit Cowley Saint Laurence CE and officially open the new equipment. It’s thanks to people playing the National lottery that this equipment is here, increasing opportunities for young people to improve their physical health and more importantly have fun!”
