Boris Johnson, Member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip, visited the Millers Tap in Uxbridge.
Boris visited the pub following a large investment as part of a nationwide programme by the owners, Stonegate. While there Boris met with the General and Area Managers, who gave him a tour of the pub and the new £279,000 improvements. Boris also discussed with the Millers Tap team the role of the pub locally, particularly in hosting community events and charity events.
Stonegate nationally give 1.5 million to charities local to their venues, aiding those from the elderly to the less advantage.
After the visit Boris commented: “It is fantastic to see investment in the constituency, and the new jobs this creates, and I hope Millers Tap continues to thrive as part of the community.”
