The Coronavirus vaccination rollout is continuing across Hillingdon, with more local residents getting their jabs every day. Thanks to the huge efforts of the NHS, volunteers and local authorities a total of 48.1 million vaccines have now been administered across the UK, including over 14 million second doses, helping to cut infection rates and reduce the spread of the virus.
Over 40’s are now invited to book in for their Covid-19 vaccination and can book online or walk in to their closest large vaccination centre.

Information for the public on the vaccination programme in NW London:
The NHS is currently offering the COVID-19 vaccine to people most at risk from coronavirus. It's being given to:
- people aged 40 and over
- people with a condition that puts them at high risk - (clinically extremely vulnerable)

- people who live or work in care homes
- health and social care workers
- people with a condition that puts them at higher risk (clinically vulnerable)
- People with a learning disability
- People who are a main carer for someone at high risk from coronavirus
The order in which people will be offered the vaccine is based on advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).

Having your second vaccine
It is important that you have both doses of your vaccine.
If your GP booked you in for your first vaccine they will also book you for your second dose 11-12 weeks later. Please note your GP may not call to book you in until close to the time your second vaccine is due at 11-12 weeks.
If you booked your first vaccine through one of the booking systems, you will be able to book your second vaccine for 11-12 weeks later through the national booking system the day after you have had your first vaccine.
When will it be my turn?
The NHS will let you know when it's your turn to have the vaccine. It's important not to contact the NHS for a vaccination before then. Please don’t contact your doctor or the NHS asking about vaccination.
