Bricklaying Boris lends a hand

Boris Johnson, Member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip, popped into Court Park Bowls Club last week to lend a hand with the new club house which is currently under construction.

Hillingdon Council provides many outstanding sporting facilities and this includes 13 bowling greens.  The outdoor bowls season runs from April to September.  Court Park Bowling Club is affiliated to Middlesex Bowling Association and Bowls England.  This latest clubhouse edition will add to the number of bowls clubs in Hillingdon which have a clubhouse, giving members kitchen facilities, changing rooms and lockers, as well as space for short mat bowls to be played indoors during winder, allowing club members to participate all year round.

Laying a brick or two to see this project close hand, Mr Johnson commented “I was happy to lend a hand to build the new Clubhouse for Court Park Bowls Club recently – this is very welcome community investment from Hillingdon Council and I cannot wait to see the finished result.”
