
Boris Johnson MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip met with Sandra Taylor, Hillingdon Council’s Director of Provider Services and Commissioned Care. During this meeting Boris was taken to both the Merchiston House and Colham Road Home and saw the outstanding care provided to the residents of Hillingdon.
Council run, Merchiston House is a spacious five bedroomed house standing on its own grounds in Hillingdon. The accommodations comprises four bedrooms for residents and one for staff. Merchiston House provides a home for four residents with severe learning difficulties.
Colham Road Home provides care and accommodation for up to thirteen people who have learning and physical disabilities. The accommodation is divided into four separate units.
Following the visit, Boris commented: “I am glad to see the excellent services provided by Hillingdon Council, and the proud work of men and women such as Sandra Taylor as they continue to make our community a better and more caring place!
