Boris Johnson, Member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip recently spent time meeting local constituents and businesses in Uxbridge to see some of the measures being taken to keep staff and customers safe.
During his time on Uxbridge High Street, he visited a number of local shops, including the recently opened Wok and Go Asian fusion takeaway restaurant and the popular Thames Hospice charity shop which has recently re-opened following its closure during lockdown.
Commenting, Boris said: “High street stores are a crucial part of our communities, forming the backbone of local economies. It was great to be able to visit some of the fantastic local businesses here in Uxbridge and thank them for their patience during what I know has been a very challenging period. I would urge people here and across the country to support local business and shop safely.”
