Boris Johnson, Member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip recently visited Colham Manor Primary School for a tour and to speak with teachers and students following their recent return to the classroom.
On arrival, Mr Johnson had a sit down discussion with the Headteacher and Deputy Head, Mrs Carly Rissen and Ms Jan Harvey-Davies, before meeting and thanking some of the catering staff who, over the last few months, have been packing free school meal bags for Colham Manor and the surrounding primary schools. Boris then spent time painting spring flowers with reception children before being grilled by some of the KS2 School Council pupils.
Commenting on the visit, Boris said: "I was delighted to be able to visit Colham Manor and have the opportunity to thank the Headteacher and all the staff for their efforts over recent weeks to ensure the safe return of students to the classroom. It was also great to hear from some of the children who all told me of their delight to be back in school alongside their teachers and friends. There is no doubt that School is the best place for their education, wellbeing and development.”
This was Boris’s second visit to the school having previously visited when Mayor of London back in April 2015.
