Boris Johnson, Member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip recently attended and spoke at a ‘Make It Your Business’ networking event at the Charter Building in Uxbridge.
The event was designed to support local women who may be starting a new business, providing them with the opportunity to meet with other local female entrepreneurs to ask questions, meet mentors and in turn help to grow their businesses.
During his remarks, Boris outlined his commitment as Prime Minister to ensure the United Kingdom remains one of the best places in the world to start and grow a business.
Commenting after the event, Boris said: “I am committed to ensuring the United Kingdom remains one of the best places in the world to start and grow a business. We have set an ambition to increase the number of female entrepreneurs by half by 2030 - equivalent to an additional 600,000 female entrepreneurs. With the support of initiatives like ‘Make It Your Business’ and others I am confident this can be achieved."
