The company relocated to Uxbridge in January from a neighbouring borough and are celebrating 100 years in business. Their entire staff of 35 moved to work at Uxbridge and they subsequently recruited further staff from the local area.
Commenting, Boris said: “It was a real pleasure to meet with Jerry Mills and all the talented team at Mills Ltd to learn more about the fantastic work they are doing supplying the cable that is spooling across the land for our gigabit broadband rollout. The Government is committed to delivering nationwide coverage of gigabit capable broadband as soon as possible. This will be done through promoting network competition and commercial investment wherever possible and by intervening with public subsidy where necessary”
