Boris Johnson, Member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip today met with the Senior Management Team at NHS Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Boris met with Chief Executive, Shane DeGaris and Chair, Richard Sumray to discuss health priorities across the Borough and for an update on the work the Hospital has been undertaking. With Simon Stevens, Chief Executive due to visit next month, Boris was keen to hear of the progress made in developing plans for the future of Hillingdon Hospital. The visit coincided with International Nurses Day next week and gave Boris the opportunity to thank the nurses at Hillingdon Hospital for the tremendous work they do, day in day out, providing high quality care to their patients.
After the visit Boris commented: “I was pleased to meet with Richard and Shane again to hear of the update on their plans for hospital. It’s clear the staff are doing their absolute best but we will continue to push for more investment in the hospital to ensure the structure is as good as the staff. I know every doctor and nurse wants the best for their patients and we are determined to deliver a high quality hospital for Hillingdon residents. With International Nurses Day next week, I also want to take the opportunity to thank the nurses for their dedication and commitment to providing the very best care they can to every patient.”
