Boris Johnson, Member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip met with Hillingdon Healthwatch to discuss health priorities in the borough.
Hillingdon Healthwatch based in the Pavilions, forms part of the Healthwatch network that works closely to ensure consumers’ views are represented locally and nationally so local residents get the best out of their local health and social care services.
Boris spoke with Graham Hawkes, Chief Executive of Hillingdon Healthwatch on a wide range of topical issues and was interested to receive an update on the work recently undertaken on children’s mental health and to discuss the plans to improve access to GPs as well as the redevelopment of Hillingdon Hospital.
Boris commented: “Healthwatch Hillingdon is a strong voice for local residents on what is needed in the borough. With the redevelopment of Hillingdon Hospital and the need for new medical facilities in Uxbridge I look forward to working closely with the Healthwatch to ensure residents’ voices are heard.”
