Uxbridge and South Ruislip MP, Boris Johnson recently met with the H4All HIU team to congratulate them on winning the highly prestigious HSJ award for Urgent and Emergency Care Initiative of the Year 2021. H4All was the only non-NHS provider to win at the HSJ Value Awards, and one of only two non-NHS providers shortlisted.
The Service was launched to reduce the attendances and admittances to Hillingdon Hospital of the top 50 patients. The team deliver a holistic model of support that utilises health coaching, integrative counselling, and social prescribing for these patients who do not fit into traditional systems of support. The service is a partnership with the Hillingdon Hospital, London Ambulance Service, Police, housing, substance misuse and mental health services. This is a cost-effective solution, that saves £3, for every £1 spent.
Commenting, Boris said: "It was real pleasure to meet with Dal and his fantastic team and to present them with their well-deserved award. The work they are doing is incredibly important, providing a wide range of support for local residents and health services"
H4All, a locally based charity, is being widely recognised for its innovation and new ways of working. H4All combines the expertise of its member organisations - and works with the wider voluntary sector and the statutory sector - to bring health benefits to Hillingdon residents.
