Supporting Law and Order

I am fervently dedicated to tackling crime throughout Uxbridge and South Ruislip and constantly endeavor to ensure that I am in the forefront of the fight against lawlessness to ensure the security and peace of mind of my constituents.

As your MP I am especially keen to help support our commanders and local police as they tackle law and order problems throughout our community, ranging from knife crime to simple misdemeanors all to ensure a healthy environment for the families and people of Uxbridge and South Ruislip.

Despite the rise of knife crime and other violent attacks throughout the UK, knife crime in Hillingdon has fallen dramatically since entering the role of your MP and I have been a consistent and vocal voice on criminal justice as I continue to fight to bring back Stop and Search. I have constantly stated that we need to take the naive assumptions about the risks behind carrying a knife and permanently turn those assumptions on their head. As a community and indeed as a country, in order to tackle the knife crime epidemic, we need to come down hard on those that carry knives whether they be kids or even gang leaders until they regard that having a knife is no longer worth the risk.

During my time as Mayor of London, homicide rates halved and in 2014, the total number of homicides in London fell below 100, one of the lowest numbers for major cities of London's size in the world. I wish to bring this success to Uxbridge and South Ruislip, and will continue to fight on and argue for increased security measures for our future.

I am looking forward to the progress and successes to come in the future in the name of our national security and for the well-being of the great people of Uxbridge and South Ruislip.
