Boris Johnson was elected Member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip in May 2015. 

In July 2019 Boris Johnson was appointed Prime Minister.

Previously he served as the Foreign Secretary and before that he was Mayor of London for 8 years, which he was elected with the largest personal mandate in British political history. 

Before this he was Editor of The Spectator, Member of Parliament for Henley on Thames, Shadow Minister for the Arts and Shadow Minister for Higher Education. 

He has won several awards for journalism, both as editor and columnist.  Until recently he wrote a weekly column for The Telegraph. 

He is the author of many books, notably The Churchill Factor, Johnson's Life of London, Have I Got Views for You and Dreams of Rome. 

As well as being a passionate cyclist, Boris enjoys painting, and playing tennis.
